LEADERSHIP IN THE 21st CENTURY
As we enter a new decade, it is clear that organizations large and small face challenges operating in an increasingly connected world enabled by digital technologies, changing cultural dynamics, and new skills. Our customers, business partners, and teams come from different backgrounds and hold different expectations of their leaders, team, and organizations.
During this week, participants will learn how organizations, brands, and partnerships are connected more than ever, explore new ways of collaboration and innovation, and plan for business demands of the future - all while exploring and living in Lisbon, Portugal!
Program Cost: $4700 USD
THE CHANGING FACE OF LEADERSHIP
The opening leadership session establishes the leadership theme for the week in an inspiring and provocative way. We want you to think about the world differently and understand how organizational and consumer expectations are changing in the future and what we need, as business leaders, to adapt and be ready.
THE STATUS QUO IS DANGEROUS
What makes companies vulnerable to disruption? Discover and examine industries that have failed or are failing because they did not embrace change. You will learn how to change the harmful beliefs that stunt innovation, collaboration, and business growth.
LEADERSHIP VALUES EXPLORATION
This session is for participants to explore what their most important values are. It’s done in an intuitive and rapid way to encourage participants to follow their intuitive feeling rather than over-thinking and finding the “correct” values. It is a good exercise to use to initiate reflection and dialogue around personal values. These actions can be connected back to an action plan, using everyday actions to live and work more holistically.
SPECIAL GUEST TOPICS
Each program has a special guest presenter on a wide range of topics like expanding teams internationally, rapid innovation, or presenting with impact. Our program leaders work with each group to understand their pressing business needs and create a program designed especially for them.
Your office space for the week will be at Second Home - a social business with a mission to support creativity and entrepreneurship in cities around the world. We believe great things happen when different industries and ideas collide, which is why Second Home carefully curates the community – creating a diverse mix of entrepreneurs, charities, corporations and fast growing companies in the space. Design is at the heart of everything we do, to create workspaces that help our members grow, be more creative, and happier – every day.

Lisbon is at the intersection of the old and new world. As one of the oldest capital cities in Europe, you’ll walk among centuries-old buildings and castles, yet notice that Lisbon is emerging as one of the world’s fastest start up hubs and home to Web Summit, the largest tech conference in the world. You’ll be lost in another era - but with wifi.
Our cultural events are designed to take you and other participants on a journey around the city, learning the historical background of Lisbon and Portugal, while at the same time falling in love with the people, food, and culture.
More than giving you a tourist view of the city, we will take you on a cultural experience and show you how it can reframe the way you think about your business. The old streetcars and outdoor cafes, cobblestone mazes, elaborate tile work, and the endless hills opening to breathtaking views make Lisbon one of Europe’s most charming cities to explore.
Feel like you're at home while abroad with your own apartment in the heart of the city. The base package includes 8 nights in a fully equipped apartment. No sharing of common spaces and we select locations that allow you to fully experience the local culture.
You will have access to your own work space with everything you will need to do your regular job. The program is set up for you to have dedicated time to work during the week.
Our carefully curated cultural events allow you to discover and play in Lisbon, differently than the average tourist. From off-the-beaten path social events to guided tours, you'll experience a personalized vacation after work. You'll have a perfect mix of planned activities and personal time to explore on your own.
EXTEND YOUR TIME
If you want to work and live longer in Lisbon, just let us know and we can reserve your workspace and apartment for as much time as you need after the official program.
Each program will vary slightly based on time of year, weather, and cultural events in Lisbon. This agenda provides an overview of what to expect throughout the program.
